Beyond sand paper!!! Teaching and old dog new tricks.

Well guess I have used my last sand paper ever on hats.

That is correct I have quit pouncing and started using this new lazer technology......

Ok I should leave it like this a few days and here the cries from the lounge.

Fact is we will not be using lazer nor sand paper in the future.

We may use paper again till its all used up but I foresee not using it after this.

Ok and no emory cloth and not garnite or rouge and we are not even going back to the old silica impregnated pouncing bag.

We are moving into new technology here. Its a resin impregnated I should call this 30 grit for the purpose of confounding the fools but I will not and call it instead 30 down to 7 micron particulate film.

That is right. Far as I can tell in initial test this is the tits when it comes to removing felt from the body and making a finished hat.

Comes all the way up to 300 and maybe 400 micron but the smaller the number here the smaller the "Grit" but this is not sand paper but it ain't bad.

The 30 micron is about like 2500 grit wet dry SIS brand or 9-0 pouncing paper. I cannot imagine what a polish the -30 grits down to 7 micron would give a hat but I sure want to find out and have it on order.

The amazing thing is that this is put down with lazer percision and does not have the high and low spots of traditional papers and will not scratch felt if you did a rawest body with it. Regular paper does not get consistent till its half worn out and so you get inconsistent pouncing with it if you do not wear it half out as I do before you use it on a hat.

This stuff is uniform and it is sooooooooooooooooo nice . Cuts like a lazer and my god the pounce is so perfect and no dust at all to beat out and I think I am died and went to heaven.

Hatters every where this is not the steve delk and Art fawcett close to the vest bullshit but the real thing and all should experiece it. 3 M is the maker and my god I am in love.

Try it for yourselves and be sure to never tell where you learned it when you know it as that would bust my love to get any credit.

I am telling you the truth I hit the front of my old worn out ready to refurb every day hat with it and it has a full day of 2000 grit on it already and in two strokes this was like a babys butt and no effort at all.

OK OK I know that is not a very scientific test but I have done more research into this and I am POSITIVE is is the only thing to use.
